TESTIMONIALS

Our radiology environment continues to be transformed with advances in technology, the healthcare climate, and the economy. It is difficult to always remain current and up to date with standards and trends. AHRA provides access to many tools to help manage our evolving world, learn new concepts, and earn educational units at the same time. AHRA provides an avenue to collaborate with colleagues to support working smarter, not harder. Through this group, we can cross borders, be innovative together, and build non competitive partnerships. — A. Tasaka, Mill Creek, WA

When you get serious about your career and the direction you are going, AHRA is the single best resource for achieving your goals. AHRA membership provides a buffet of opportunities. I’ve been an AHRA member since 2003 when I took my CRA exam. Since then I haven’t missed an annual meeting! The annual meetings provide an excellent opportunity to network and get my CE credits all at one time. I have enjoyed the opportunity to share information at the annual meeting: as a speaker in 2008, participating in the poster contest in 2009, and performing volunteer work in 2010. This year I am in the process of writing an article for submission. The opportunities are vast. — B. Rinehart, Auburn, WA

The expanding challenges that we face in diagnostic imaging and healthcare today constantly require new learning experiences, updated knowledge, and support from our peers, all critical for our success. These were my thoughts 30 years ago when I became a member of AHRA. Those were simpler days. Today, with our lightning fast pace and always changing environments, AHRA and the resources it provides are now that much more valuable to ensure success. As a past Western Region board member, an author, and a frequent user of Radiology Management's free CEUs, the last three decades as a member of AHRA have been a valuable resource for me. Take advantage of it. — D. Marlow, Kirkland, WA

I have been a member of AHRA since 1997 when I become a radiology manager at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. As an administrator without a technical background, I found the AHRA resources, such as the Forum, staffing and productivity benchmarks, textbooks, and the annual meeting valuable in my learning of the imaging arena. AHRA has also provided several professional development opportunities to me, such as presenting at the annual meeting, serving as Fall Conference Design Team Chair, writing an article for the Radiology Management, and becoming an presenter for the Basic Management program. AHRA has also expanded my professional network, both across the Seattle area and the nation.
— M. Steffen, CRA, Seattle, WA

AHRA is an outstanding organization, providing excellent resources for members. If your career is taking you into the administrative arena, it really is a must. AHRA also provides an excellent vehicle to collaborate with other members on a variety of projects, topics, and educational activities. So I'd urge you to get involved and take advantage of this organization and all it has to offer. — C. Fritz Seattle, WA
